Career = ?

As a millennial, I had the unrealistic expectation that I would instantly succeed in the workforce. Straight out of college, jumped into a professional certificate from a prestigious university, and just a hop, skip, and a jump to stardom! It OBVIOUSLY doesn’t work like that.

Fast forward 6 full-time jobs in only 4 ½ years later, I’m exhausted, this has to be what the end of your career feels like! I want to escape, be a hermit, never send an Outlook email again. It’s hard to see where the arrow points next. I like to use Good.co's manifesto for reference

I’m going to use this as a space to find out. Have you ever felt this way? How long did it take to find “the perfect career”?

As a huge fan of Serial, I adore the podcast medium and love this one - Entrepreneur on Fire. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Welcome!

I've been putting this off for a while but this has to be the year of change! (AmIRight?) The New Year is a fresh start for all of us, including me, so welcome to this space of discovery, challenges, and most importantly, changes! (All positive!)

A little about me - I'm a classic twenty-something introvert who is back and forth between likes and dislikes, happiness and sadness, ups and downs, fads and routines. I'm trying to figure life out and I'm glad you're here to join me in this exploration.

Here I'll discuss everything from work stress and career paths, fitness and finding yourself, relationships with others and with yourself, I'll cover it all! (I may even throw in some cats, knitting, and random fun - stay tuned!)

Compare where you are to where you want to be, and you’ll get nowhere.
